The accident occurred as the woman was getting out of her 2014 Lincoln near the intersection of Helms Mill Road and Dalton Road around 7:30 p.m.

According to Hackettstown Police, the woman “didn’t realize her vehicle was not in park” and fell over as she was exiting the car, which rolled over the left side of her body, kept rolling, and then hit a 2016 Ford parked on Helms Mill Road.

The Hackettstown woman was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and issued a summons for having an unregistered vehicle.

The Independence Township First Aid Squad and Saint Clare’s Paramedics also assisted.
